I am a philosophy PhD candidate at UNC, and this past fall I was the Tom Regan Visiting Research Fellow at North Carolina State University. Before moving to Chapel Hill, I earned an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee and a B.A. from Vanderbilt University, where I studied philosophy, Spanish, and Portuguese. I have broad interests in ethics and normative philosophy generally. My dissertation is about animal ethics and moral character, and my work has been published in journals such as Analysis, Synthese, and Politics, Philosophy & Economics. When I am not doing philosophy, I enjoy making music, reading fiction, and learning languages.
